Tyrolit is a world leader in the production and distribution of:
- conventional and super abrasives for applications in the fields of precision mechanics, metallurgy optics and glass;
- diamond tools for applications in the building industry, natural stone and ceramics sectors;
- modular machine systems (HYDROSTRESS trademark) for the controlled demolition of buildings and natural stone extraction.
The company was officially founded in Austria in 1919, when Tyrolit became a registered trademark at international level. Tyrolit began to expand in the world in the Sixties with the building of facilities in Mexico and Argentina. By the Seventies, Tyrolit's production was 25 times higher than in 1950, and in 1984 the standard production of diamond tools for stone processing and building was started. In 1992 a factory using advanced technology to produce high-quality superabrasive tools was opened in Stans (Tyrol).
The group is completely controlled by Swarovski, main private group in Austria and world leader in the production of crystal glass (Swarovski), rigid abrasives (Tyrolit) and optic lenses (Swarovsk Optik).
Tyrolit has more than 3600 employees all over the world, with an international network of production factories, associated firms, agencies and distribution companies, all belonging to the Group, that operates in 60 Countries.
Over the last three years Tyrolit has invested more than 28 million Euro (55 billion lire) in Research and Technological Development. Thanks to these investments, Tyrolit can place at its customers' disposal innovative and high quality products.
Tyrolit Vincent S.p.A. was created in January -, 1994, when Tyrolit Italia, a branch of the multinational Austrian Group Tyrolit-Swarovski KG, merged with Vincent srl, located in Thiene, in the province of Vicenza.
Tyrolit Vincent is a strongly customer-oriented company that offers innovative technological solutions in the industrial application of diamond and abrasives.In the field of natural stones, it manufactures diamond tools for block extraction, cutting, calibrating, polishing, squaring, chamfering, drilling and profiling of marble, granite and agglomerates.
In 1998 the management system and the diamond products of Tyrolit Vincent S.p.A produced in Italy, were certified according to ISO 9001.
In 1999 Tyrolit Vincent S.p.a. has been awarded EN ISO 14001 environmental registration; this standard concerns companies' environmental compatibility.
This is yet another investment made by the company, which is proof of its constant commitment to producing high quality products while using materials and production processes that are compatible both with the surroundings and with the internal work environment.
