SIMEC is a group that has grown continuosly for more than 35 years.
SIMEC S.p.A. has been on the international market for more than thirty-five years and is one of the leading industrial companies in the world for the manufacture of machinery and plant for working natural stone (marble and granite) and agglomerated artificial stones. Set up in the province of Treviso, Italy, in 1969, the company has gradually enhanced its commercial reputation and increased its sales year by year, and is widely present in five continents. For this company, growth has meant integration of its products to provide an all round range and maximum competitiveness: today it is the leader of a group of three companies, SIMEC S.p.A, FIAM S.r.l. and RITEC S.r.l., through which it makes complete machinery and plant for the working of natural stone, porcelain gres and glass. The SIMEC group also manufactures packaging machinery and wrapping robots under the CIBAPACK brand. With about 200 employees in the various firms, 28,000 square metres of covered manufacturing area and a turnover of EUR 60 million, the SIMEC group can claim a very high added value level, thanks to the fact that it only uses its own skilled personnel in the design, construction and servicing of its entire product range. Designing at high quality levels
More than thirty years of experience, the continuous research and collaboration with many industrial concerns have permitted SIMEC to acquire unique design competence which is used not only for studying systems and machines, but above all for preparing the Lay Outs of complete systems. Inside the company there are different design departments, some are employed in conceiving new products and others in developing already existing machines.
In the design phase, a fundamental moment in the entire production process, the most efficient solutions are perfected to increase machine performance and to increase reliability, always with maximum attention being paid to ergonomics and safety. In line with its construction philosophy, SIMEC develops the entire production process inside the Group. In this way, the company associates a high degree of flexibility with continuous control of the quality standards, to best satisfy production requirements.
The process starts with the selection of the raw materials which must pass rigorous inspections. Following this both the structural steel-work machining and the precision machining are performed respecting precise procedures. During the entire process, modern, numerically controlled work centres guarantee excellent production performance. Also, numerous operational tests are performed at every stage. The Group is committed to continuously improving and rationalizing the entire production system; SIMEC is always searching for new technologies to permit higher quality and better productivity. Construction care
The final assembly of the machine is encompassed by the SIMEC industrial quality culture. This fundamental production phase is in fact entirely performed in well-organized and equipped spaces by competent and specialized personnel, constantly updated thanks to the numerous training courses. The operators scrupulously follow every moment of the assembly, using modern, highly automated machines for total and direct quality control.
The meticulous care over every detail is a substantial point of this production moment; at the end of assembly, the final product is subjected to careful testing to check its correct operation. As in the other production stages, the Group is committed to the constant innovative development of the working techniques.
