The Officina Meccanica Fraccaroli & Balzan, which has been developing into a joint stock Company as Fraccaroli e Balzan S.p.a., was created in 1969 upon the uniting of its two partners, Tiziano Fraccarolli and Carlo Balzan. The Company realizes very soon that environmental protection is the main requirement for all Companies to continue their activity without any problem. For this reason, from 1973 on, the Company started producing plants for the decantation and recycling of waste waters deriving from stone processing and systems for mud dehydration (filterpresses).

This was the starting point for the Company to build up year by year its leadership in this sector.

Besides the stone processing sector, Fraccaroli e Balzan begins using its technology for washing water produced by crushing plants and quarries, tunneling ceramic and glass, building plants of new conception and further expanding its market.

In order to cope with the constant growing of its production line and with the always increasing demand of national and international end-users, the Company has substantially implemented its staff during the years, giving rise to a complex and articulated organization. The sales organization has been constantly expanding together with the Company growth-up, covering now the whole world (Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, Australia), with sales agents and co-operators, thanks to whom Fraccaroli e Balzan can boast more than 8.000 plants.

The after-sales service is guaranteed by a team of trained technicians specialized in maintenance and instruction of personnel, and by the support of our offices, always available to talk directly with our Customers.

Today we can say without any doubt that Fraccaroli e Balzan is the world leader in the field of waste water treatment plants and mud dehydration plants, stating as a reference for our competitors as well.

The waste waters involved in the industrial processing are collected into a pit (A) and are conveyed to the decanter by a suitable pump, which works automatically through level probes. In the flocculant station (B) a solution of water and flocculant is prepared, and is subsequently injected into the pipe feeding the decanter (C). The flocculant acts on the solid particles increasing their settling speed. Once the waste water has entered into the decanter, the clean water rises towards the top of the silo and overflows into the clean water collection tank (H), from which it can be sent back to the machines. The mud accumulates at the bottom of the decanter and is extracted by a pneumatic group (D), which discharges it into the homogenizing tank (E). The tank is equipped with an agitator for preventing the settlement of the solids. A double speed centrifugal pump. (F) takes the mud out of the tank and feeds the filterpress (G). The chamber-type filterpress squeezes out the residual water still retained in the mud and discharges the dry mud below its structure.

During the Re-examination of the Quality System, the Management evaluates the results obtained for the current year and decides the goals for the next year, fixing them in the Quality Plan.

The System for Quality Management takes care of the above goals, controlling their status during periodical quality meetings (at least every two months)

A simple System for Quality Management, designed to be a working tool, deriving from the experience and knowledge by the system’s users, who contribute to its evolution.

An efficient activity for awareness, instruction and training at all levels, as a mean for the cooperators to get involved and grow, for a continuous improvement of performances.
