With the expertise gained and the worldwide reputation earned by the AGL in the tile manufacturing and export, the company has setup a GRANITE SLAB manufacturing unit in 2001. The slab unit is is equipped with a processing line from some of the world's leading manufacturers making it, one of the finest slab manufacturing plants comparable to the best in the world and has an installed capacity of 197,000 Sq. Mtrs. The slab plant is ideally located near Hosur, just 55 kms, away from Bangalore.A strict 100% inspection system is adapted during all stages of manufacturing process.

Granite blocks transported from quarries in trucks are unladed by a granty crane which can handle weights of up to 60 tons. The blocks are dressed on diamond wire saw machines. The dressed block sawn vertically into slabs of thickness 20 mm or 30 mm or as per customers requirement on the Super Jumbomatic Gaspari Gangsaws. The array of steel blades fitted on big moving fans is driven by fly flow mechanism. During the sawing Process a mixture of steel grit hydrated lime and water is continoulsy sprayed from the top.

The affluent water treatment plant ensures continues supply of recycle water for granite processing for removing the operative abrasive mix.

The machines are programmed to operate round the clock in an automated process. The preprogrammed automated PEDRINI Polishing machine with 20 heads of which 7 have diamond braces and rest conventional braces gives the required finish up to the edge of granite surface.

On the RESIN LINE the first of its kind in India a coating of epoxy resins is supplied uniformly for variety of granites needing this treatment for the perfect surface especially the white color varieties.
